Sol79 is a banana purée brand made by AgroAmerica, an agro-industrial food company with more than 50 years in the banana business.
AgroAmerica is one of the largest growers, shippers and distributors of fresh fruit with operations in Central America, Peru and Ecuador. Founded in 1958, it is managed vertically, which allows clear lines of command and strict control which leads to high efficiency in its operations. AgroAmerica is committed to resource conservation and to the responsible production of bananas.
Sol79 banana purée is made solely from ripe bananas, grown sustainably by us in our plantations in Guatemala. In 2016, AgroAmerica launched the Sol79 banana purée brand, to meet the needs of its clients and consumers.
We provide a natural product, without additives, but with all the nutritional properties that contribute to a healthier diet while enhancing the food and nutritional security of consumers. With this new product, AgroAmerica also prevents waste in its plantations, keeping food from going to waste in the world.

Sol 79 represents the average annual temperature of 79°F in the coasts of Guatemala, which is ideal for our bananas to grow under perfect conditions.

Our Banana Farms
In our plantations located in Guatemala, Ecuador and Peru, we use state-of-the-art technology and farming practices that are environmentally friendly and respectful of nearby communities. This results in a sustainable product of excellent quality.
At AgroAmerica we take care of the smallest details during the production process, from selecting and caring for the soil, using ecological materials, saving water, to packaging and delivery of the fruit. We also care about the safety and well-being of our workers, who are our most important resource.
We provide personal protection equipment (PPE) and ensure that industrial and occupational safety standards are met.
100% of our farms are certified by Rainforest Alliance and Global G.A.P. We also have BASC and SCS certifications. This, and more, is what makes AgroAmerica a leader in banana production, job creation and corporate social responsibility.
Guatemala
In our Farms in Guatemala, located in the South Coast, North East and South West of the country, we produce and export conventional certified banana.

With an estimated population of around 16.6 million, it is the most populated state in Central America. Guatemala is a representative democracy; its capital and largest city is Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción, also known as Guatemala City.
Ecuador
In our Farms in Ecuador, we produce and export certified Cavendish banana of the best quality.
Is a representative democratic republic in northwestern South America, bordered by Colombia on the north, Peru on the east and south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Ecuador also includes the Galápagos Islands in the Pacific, about 1,000 kilometres west of the mainland.
Spanish is the official language and is spoken by a majority of the population, though 13 Amerindian languages are also recognized, including Quichua and Shuar. The capital city is Quito, while the largest city is Guayaquil.
Peru
In our Farms in Peru, located in the desert of Piura, we produce and export certified organic banana.
Republic of Peru is a country in western South America. It is bordered in the north by Ecuador and Colombia, in the east by Brazil, in the southeast by Bolivia, in the south by Chile, and in the west by the Pacific Ocean.
Peru is an extremely biodiverse country with habitats ranging from the arid plains of the Pacific coastal region in the west to the peaks of the Andes mountains vertically extending from the north to the southeast of the country to the tropical Amazon Basin rainforest in the east with the Amazon river.
